Features

Weighing just 12.5 pounds, this is a rather lightweight air purifier that you can easily pick up and move around. Unlike other Air Purifiers, it isn’t particularly bulky, so you won’t have any problems putting it into other rooms.

As for the design and aesthetic, it has a very simple and minimalist design that focuses much more on clarity, rather than any distinct aesthetic beauty. When you look at the AeraMax 300, you’ll notice that the device is simple and easy on the eyes and that every button and feature is labeled, so you won’t have to guess which button does what.

On the front of the air purifier, you’ll see a bunch of different buttons and symbols. Right on the top, you’ll see a small circular symbol. This button corresponds to the AeraSmart Sensor, which is a sensor that detects the quality of your air. Then, it feeds this data back into the device itself, enabling it to change the settings that are currently being used, so that it can best accommodate your room/space.

Then, there is the Aera+ Mode, which is a mode for more intensive and efficient air purification. Below that, there is a Fan Speed button, which lets you alternate between four fan speeds; Low, Medium, High, and Turbo.

Underneath those buttons, there are two indicators. One for the HEPA-Filter, and one for the Carbon-Filter. These indicators will flash red, when it is time for you to replace those filters.
Finally, at the very bottom, there is a button that activates the PlasmaTrue Technology, which is used to create an ionized field. Ion generation allows you to more effectively remove certain types of particles from your air, in a more efficient manner.

The filtration process itself is quite simple, but very efficient.

First, there is a Carbon Filter. Mostly, this is used to capture all of the larger particles, and to capture all of the odors and stenches that those particles bring. That way, your home doesn’t smell.

Second, there is the True-HEPA filter. This is a filter designed to remove all of the smallest and most minuscule particles, such as allergens. Overall, this is probably the most important filter, because it removes most of the particles that flow into the air purifier.

Third, you have the AreaSafe Antimicrobial Treatment. This is a treatment that all of the particles pass through, and it is designed to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi.

Finally, you have the PlasmaTrue Technology, which creates an ionic field. This ionic field kills off the remaining allergens and pollutants that have been sucked into the air purifier.

Using the AeraMax 300, you can purify a room/space that is between 300 and 600 feet. Anything more than 600 feet and the performance will be a bit less than ideal.

AeraMax 300

At the end of the day, the AeraMax 300 is a fantastic air purifier that is very effective, due to the different filtrations systems that it uses, and the stages that those filtration systems consist of. No matter how dirty the air in your home is, the AeraMax 300 will make quick work of it.

However, the one flaw is that this is a bit expensive, for an air purifier. So, if you don’t really need all of the features that this air purifier offers, then it may not be the ideal choice for you.

Conclusion

The AeraMax 300 is a great air purifier that is thorough, well-designed, and more than effective. However, due to the cost of the device, you’ll need to consider whether or not it’s worth spending more for all of the extra features.

If you have a large space you want to remove irritants from, We recommend the Airmega 400. All of Coway air purifiers do an excellent job of attacking indoor pollutants, and we highly recommend any of them.
The Levoit Vista 200 air purifier has some strong suits, but in our opinion it falls short of carving out a meaningful niche for itself. Its ideal use would be in a small bedroom occupied by someone who is sensitive to noise.
With high end air cleaning performance, the Honeywell HPA300 is the perfect combination of power and finesse. It cleared airborne particulates out of a smokey testing room faster than most air purifiers.
