Today, we’re going to be taking an in-depth look at the Dolphin Premier, the Dolphin Sigma, the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus, and the Dolphin Triton PS Plus. All four of these devices are robotic pool cleaners, and they come from Maytronics, as part of their “Dolphin” product line.
Now, all four of these robotic pool cleaners are excellent. Some of the very best on the market. But, in this guide, you’re going to learn which one of these is the very best for you!
What Does The Dolphin Premier Offer?
The Dolphin Premier is a robotic pool cleaner that can scrub the walls of your pool, the floor of your pool, as well as the waterline of your pool. This is very useful, because many robotic pool cleaners are unable to do this and, as a result of this, you have to wash some of those things by hand.
Using two DC motors, you get a significant amount of power with the Dolphin Premier. The Dolphin Premier has no problems removing all kinds of dirt and grime that has been lying dormant within your pool for a longer period. And, along with that, due to the filters, there are no problems actually capturing the debris and then disposing of it, because the filters are strong and durable.
Using a technology known as “Smart Nav”, the Dolphin Premier can create a map of your pool and detect the levels of dirt in certain areas of your pool. From this data, the Dolphin Premier makes the best choices for where it needs to go and what it needs to clean, making the pool cleaning process effortless for you!
What Does The Dolphin Sigma Offer?
Using the Dolphin Sigma, you can clean pools that are up to fifty-feet in size. For a residential pool, that’s quite a bit.
On the bottom of the Dolphin Sigma, there are two very strong and powerful scrubbing brushes. With these scrubbing brushes, the Dolphin Sigma can remove algae and dirt and grime of all sorts, and then this stuff flows straight into one of the cartridge filters that you can set up in the device itself.
Using the different cartridge filters, you can dispose of all kinds of different debris. Small chunks of algae. Things like leaves and dirt chunks. As well as small branches and bigger pieces of debris.
Just like the Dolphin Premier, the Dolphin Sigma uses the “Smart Nav” system, and this system is incredibly useful when it comes to telling the robotic pool cleaner where it needs to go and what it needs to clean, and how it needs to get there, and creating the proper cleaning patterns that ensure it cleans everything in your pool in the proper manner, so that your pool looks nice, and so that you are able to swim in it.
Since this is a robotic pool cleaner, and automation is the key focus, you can create a custom schedule for this device. However, it must be said. The customization options are a bit lacking. They aren’t as good as they could be.
If you want to turn on the device on, though, and you aren’t’ actually home to press the buttons manually, using your smartphone, you can turn on the app that Maytronics has designed, and activate the robotic pool cleaner on its own.
What Does The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Offer?
Let’s start with this basic fact, in comparison to both the Dolphin Premier and the Dolphin Sigma, the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus is significantly cheaper, and you won’t be spending anywhere near as much money on this one, as you would the others.
So, if you are on a budget, then this is a better choice.
On the bottom of the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus, there are two scrubbing brushes. These are, for the most part, the same brushes you will find on the Dolphin Premier and the Dolphin Sigma, and just as they did with those robotic pool cleaners, they work very well here. You can use them to scrub up just about anything, and you won’t have any problems using these scrub brushes to thoroughly and efficiently clean everything that is in this robotic pool cleaners path.
When the device is moving around your pool and choosing where it needs to go and what paths it needs to take, it uses the “CleverClean” navigation system. Like a navigation system, it’s not as good as “Smart Nav”, but it is very good, for the most part, and doesn’t have any issues figuring out where to go and how it needs to be cleaning. But, it does take a bit longer, due to the difference in sensors and algorithms.
One last thing to mention is that you can’t clean your waterline with this robotic pool cleaner. You can clean your floors and walls, but not the waterline.
What Does The Dolphin Triton PS Plus Offer?
In comparison to the previous three, the Dolphin Triton PS Plus has a lot in common with the Dolphin Premier. This is due to the features that it offers, and the price point.
Using this robotic pool cleaner, you can clean the waterline, the floors, and the walls of your pool.
As the Dolphin Triton PS Plus is cleaning, it uses two scrubbing brushes. Both of these scrubbing brushes are strong and powerful so that you can clean anything with them. And, since they are designed to clean every part of your pool, they are very durable and can withstand a lot.
To use the Dolphin Triton PS Plus, you can simply turn it on and let it clean your pool. But, as it is cleaning, you may want to control the robotic pool cleaner so that you can clean a specific area that the device may have missed or ignored. By using the smartphone app, and connecting it to the Dolphin Triton PS Plus using Bluetooth, you can use a little remote control that is built into the app, to control the device. This makes it easy to spot clean and to clean the exact spaces you want to clean.
