The Ecovacs Deebot 900

When you take the Ecovacs DEEBOT 900 out of the package, there are two things that you will immediately notice. First, it weighs just under eight pounds. Very light. Second, you’ll notice that it is a very sleek looking vacuum. It’s white and has a very minimalist design.

On the top, there is a single button. It says “AUTO” and it has the power sign on it. This is the power button, and it tells the Deebot 900 to start cleaning. But, fortunately, you don’t have to rely on this button to do that. Instead, you have access to a smartphone and smart home functionalities.

Ecovacs 900 vs. 901 vs. 930

Using either your smartphone or smart home devices such as Amazon Echo or Google Home, you have access to a variety of features to control your Deebot 900 robot vacuum.

When you use the smartphone app, you can create custom schedules for the robot. For example, if you work from nine-to-five, on weekdays, you can tell the Deebot 900 to vacuum while you are at work on Tuesday and on Thursday.

You can also activate the robotic vacuum remotely, even when you aren’t at home. As well as change the cleaning mode, while it is cleaning. You’ll also be able to see the battery status of the robot vacuum on the Ecovacs App.

However, the most notable aspect of this smartphone functionality is the mapping system. Not only does the Ecovacs Deebot 900 create a virtual map, using its built-in sensors – the new Smart Navi 3.0 technology – but it gives you access to this map, using the app.

This means that you can see which rooms the vacuum is cleaning in. You can also tell it which rooms and spaces to clean if you don’t want the vacuum to go into certain spaces. You do this by setting what is known as a “Virtual Boundary.”

Ecovacs 900

For example, if you want the vacuum to clean two rooms, but not any other rooms, you can set a few virtual boundaries to prevent it from leaving that space. This is a very useful feature if you want the vacuum to focus on thoroughly cleaning only one particular area.

Of course, none of this would be all that important if the device wasn’t very good at cleaning. Fortunately, it is!

The Ecovacs Deebot 900 was designed to clean all floor-types. When cleaning hard floors and thick carpets, it can change its suction speed and power. This is in conjunction with the three-stage cleaning system, which is an Ecovacs standard. There are also different cleaning pattern modes. One of which is known as “SPOT” which focuses on thoroughly cleaning one particular spot.

Ultimately, the Ecovacs Deebot 900 is an absolutely fantastic vacuum that does its job very well! If you are in the market for a good vacuum that has all of the features you could ever want, this is definitely it.

The Ecovacs Deebot 901

With the Ecovacs Deebot 901, you have all of the basic features that the Ecovacs Deebot 900 had. Features such as a three-stage cleaning system. Excellent smartphone and smart home functionality. The Smart Navi 3.0 navigation system. A simple and easy to use and empty dustbin. One-touch power. Among others.

Ecovacs 901 vs. 900 vs. 930

These are all features that the Deebot 900 has. In many ways, the two vacuums are almost identical. But, with that being said, there are a couple of key differences that must be noted.

First off, the Ecovacs Deebot 900 has a battery life of 100 minutes. With the Ecovacs Deebot 901, this battery-life has been enhanced to 120 minutes. Now, this isn’t a huge difference, but it is an extra convenience that you may find very useful.

Second of all, you now have a “Max Cleaning Area” of 1500 square feet. So, if you are working in large spaces and big floors, this is an absolutely essential feature. Having this feature ensures that the sensors won’t miss or ignore anything. Ensuring that you’ll have a nice, clean home.

Third, the cleaning path that it follows has been enhanced and improved, due to various changes to the sensors. This means that you have a larger Max Cleaning Area, as was mentioned, but the path it uses is now more of an “S-Shape”. What this means is that the approach is a bit more systematic and thorough. Smaller spaces and crevices that may have been ignored will now be cleaned the same way as every other floor space.

Ecovacs 901

Ultimately, the Ecovacs Deebot 901 doesn’t have too many distinct differences or advantages, in comparison to the Ecovacs Deebot 900.

Is it a bad robot vacuum? Far from it. In fact, it’s an excellent robot vacuum. If you want something that is a bit better and a bit more advanced than the Ecovacs Deebot 900, then this is the right robot vacuum for you.

Do keep in mind, though, that there aren’t many differences. If you don’t want to spend the extra money, then get the Ecovacs Deebot 900, it’s more or less the same robot vacuum.

The Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 930

Finally, last but not least, we have the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 930. This is one of Ecovacs newest robot vacuums. Because of this, it has features that you won’t find on any other Ecovacs robot vacuum.

Ecovacs 930 vs. 901 vs. 900

Right off the bat, you’ll notice that, aesthetically, it is very, very similar to the previous two vacuums. But, it weighs nearly 11 pounds. However, there is a good reason for this.

Unlike the previous two vacuums, this one has something known as the “Ozmo Mopping System”. This system comes with several water pumps, special sensors, and a mopping pad.

You can use the Ozmo Mopping System on your hardwood floors, to get them extra nice and clean!

As for the system itself, it contains a few specialized water pumps, a mopping pad that you can take on and off, as well as a series of sensors that control the flow of water.

This is enhanced by the Adaptive Floor Sensing Technology. What this technology does is it detects whether or not the mop pad is on. If it is, then it avoids things like carpeting and stays on the hardwood floors. If you have any worries about getting your carpets, or other things, wet, then have no fear! This system works incredibly well, and it ensures that you won’t have any of those kinds of issues.

Other than that, most of the features are quite similar to the ones you would find in the previous models. You have excellent smartphone and smart home functionalities. You can customize your schedule, turn the robot vacuum on remotely, choose which room you want to be cleaned and set up virtual boundaries.

One notable addition is that, with both Google Home and Amazon Echo, it’s much easier to command the unit. With your words, you can tell the Deebot Ozmo 930 to “Charge”, “Stop”, “Turn On”, etc.

Ecovacs 930

Another addition is that, with the excellent Adaptive Floor Sensing Technology, the robot vacuum is better at detecting which floor type it is currently on. This means that it has an easier time adjusting the cleaning mode for whatever surface it is cleaning. Combine this with the excellent Smart Navi 3.0 navigation system, and you get a home that is guaranteed to be clean.

In terms of battery life, it is, at the most, 100 minutes. Much of this is due to the Adaptive Floor Sensing Technology, as well as the mop. That’s why the unit doesn’t clean “longer”.

Ultimately, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 930 is a fantastic vacuum that gives you peak performance and functionality. It isn’t necessary to purchase this particular vacuum because the others are also very good. You are paying the premium price for the mop and the Adaptive Floor Sensing Technology.

If you want the best, though, then this model is definitely the best.
