In this post, we’ll be looking at four models of the Ecovacs “Deebot” series, and their top-of-the-line robot vacuum. While they aren’t as well known, or as popular as, say, the iRobot Roomba line, they continue to prove themselves as one of the best vacuum manufacturers in today’s market. In this article, you’ll learn the key features and benefits that the Deebot N79S, 601, 711, and 901 present.

Ecovacs Deebot N79S
The Ecovacs Deebot N79S is the most “basic” model on this list. It’s a simple robot vacuum that consists of features such as a three-stage cleaning system, two-hours of battery life, self-recharging, four distinct cleaning modes, and, of course, smartphone functionality.
Using your smartphone, you can create schedules and access certain data about the robot vacuum. This makes it very convenient, and you don’t need to rely on the remote control.
Generally speaking, the Ecovacs N79S works best with hardwood flooring and tile flooring. For carpeting, this really isn’t the right robot vacuum.
Due to the inclusion of various sensors, the N79S is able to adapt to the layout of your home more easily. This means that it can easily avoid things like chairs and other objects that might get in the way, and it will go around those things while cleaning.
When the robot vacuum encounters spots that are very dirty, it’ll adapt the cleaning mode that it is on, to accommodate those dirty spots. The same goes for spots that aren’t very dirty. Really, this is absolutely excellent, because it makes the whole process very convenient and “hands-off.”
In the box, you get a remote control, the main brush, two side brushes, and the docking station for the robot vacuum to recharge automatically.
Ecovacs Deebot 601
Just like the N79S, the battery life of the Ecovacs Deebot 601 remains the same – two-hours – and you have the same anti-collision and anti-drop sensors, along with the three-stage cleaning system.
One of the big differences in the cleaning pattern the 601 takes. Using a more systematic approach, it can devise pathways that enable it to clean more space, in less time.
Due to the smartphone functionality, you are able to start up the robot vacuum, wherever you are. You can track its cleaning paths, customize the paths and the schedule, and monitor the status of the robot vacuum and its accessories.
Just like the N79S, the accessories that come in the box are exactly the same.
Really, the only difference between the 601 and the N79S is the fact that the 601 uses the “S-Shaped Systematic Path” technology which, again, makes for faster and more thorough vacuuming.
Ecovacs Deebot 711
Right off the bat, when you open the box of the Ecovacs Deebot 711, you’ll notice the main unit, the charging dock, four individual side brushes, two high-efficiency air filters, one remote control with batteries already included, and a cleaning tool.
One difference between the 601 and 711 is that the battery life is only 110 minutes, instead of 120 minutes. You also have a new technology called “Smart Navi 2.0”, which is similar to the “S-Shaped Systematic Path” technology, but more extensive and more efficient, overall.
In terms of smartphone functionality, you have the same features and capabilities that you have in the previous models.
Similar to the two previous models, as well, you have three-cleaning modes, but also two very helpful specialized cleaning modes. Edge mode, and spot mode, enable you to hone in on certain spots and areas that need extra attention.
Overall, the sheer suction power is greater in the 711 than in the 601, and it is a more efficient machine, due to the new navigation technology.
Ecovacs Deebot 901
Overall, the Ecovacs Deebot 901 possesses features that are almost exactly the same as the 711, but there are two additions, one of which is very notable.

First off, the battery life is 120 minutes, instead of 110 minutes. More importantly, however, using the Smart Navi 3.0 system, the entirety of space is mapped out, using laser technology, and this allows you to do three things.
You can choose specific areas that you want thoroughly cleaned. Using the laser sensors, the device finds locations that are unusually dirty and gives you the option of having the vacuum clean those areas more thoroughly.
Using the virtual map on your phone, you can designate certain sections – or multiple sections – that you want to be cleaned, rather than having the vacuum clean the entirety of a larger space. Finally, you can create virtual barriers using the map, preventing the vacuum from going into those areas.
