What Is A Steam Cleaner?

A steam cleaner is a device that uses steam to clean all kinds of different surfaces. Water is boiled within the steam cleaner, which then creates the steam, and since this steam is very hot, it can move across whatever surface you are cleaning, killing the germs on that surface, while also loosening up all kinds of dirt, gunk, and grime.

Steam cleaners are incredibly versatile cleaning devices, and you can use them to clean all kinds of different surfaces. Including all kinds of floors, and even things like mirrors, among many other surfaces.

Most steam cleaners don’t require any sort of chemical cleaning solution, which is one of the reasons why they are so popular. The majority of those cleaning solutions aren’t the healthiest or the best for the environment, and they can be expensive if you have to buy them often.

The McCulloch MC1375

We’re starting with the McCulloch MC1375. Now, this is a very simple steam cleaner that uses a canister-shaped unit to hold all of the necessary components. Due to the shape of this steam cleaner, as well as its weight and size, it’s quite versatile and very easy to move around. For a steam cleaner, this is always a big advantage, and it ensures that you won’t have any issues using the steam cleaner, and cleaning smaller and difficult-to-reach spaces.

On the McCulloch MC1375, there is a small control panel, and this control panel allows you to control the amount of steam that the steam cleaner is using. As a result of this, you have a lot of control over how much steam you are using, at any given time, and you can adjust the amount of steam being produced so that you can properly accommodate the surface that you are on and the level of grime and gunk that is on that surface.

When it comes to the steam pressure that you have access to, you have access to 58 psi of steam pressure, which is quite a bit, especially for a smaller steam cleaner, such as this one. Using this steam pressure, you won’t have any problems cleaning hardwood floors, tile floors, laminate floors, and many other different types of flooring, as well. You don’t need any chemical cleaning solution to use this steam cleaner properly, and the only thing you need to do is to fill up the water tank, and then turn on the steam cleaner, allowing it to heat the water, and then you can clean your floors, and that process is easy and effortless, removing all of the gunk and grime that is on your floors.

The water tank that is built into the McCulloch MC1375 can hold a total of forty-eight ounces. In less than twelve minutes, with a full water tank, that water is heated up. From this 48 ounces of water, and less than twelve minutes of heating time, you can steam clean for ninety minutes. That’s pretty fantastic, especially since the water tank isn’t really that large, and the heating time is rather short, especially when you consider the overall size of this steam cleaner, as well.

With the McCulloch MC1375, you have access to 12.5 amps of power. That’s a lot of power for such a small steam cleaner, and this power is the reason why the McCulloch MC1375 is as powerful as it is.

Now, one of the greatest things about this steam cleaner is the fact that it is very versatile and offers a significant amount of flexibility. Not just when it comes to the movement of the steam cleaner, but when it comes to the kinds of surfaces you can clean with it. The McCulloch MC1375 comes with twenty different accessories! Accessories that consist of several different types of brushes, various mopping pads, an extension wand, and several other accessories that can be very useful.

Ultimately, the McCulloch MC1375 is one of the best steam cleaners out there. For the price, and what you get access to, this is a fantastic purchase! This is not an overly expensive steam cleaner, and it does a fantastic job steam cleaning anything that you can think of. For those reasons, this is an amazing steam cleaner!

The Wagner Spraytech Steam Cleaner

Next up on the list is the Wagner Spraytech Steam Cleaner. In many ways, this steam cleaner is quite similar to the McCulloch MC1375 – it has a similar shape, and size, for one – but there are some differences that really do make the Wagner Spraytech Steam Cleaner stand out on its own, and we’re going to talk about those things in this section of the buying guide!

With the Wagner Spraytech Steam Cleaner, you have a water tank that can hold forty-eight ounces of water. This is the same as the McCulloch MC1375. When you turn on the steam cleaner, once the water tank is full, it will then heat up to one-hundred degrees Fahrenheit, and using this steam, you’ll have no problems eliminating all kinds of different stains and blotches of dirt and gunk, among many other things. You can run the steam cleaner, using this full 48-ounce tank of water, for up to forty-five minutes. That’s half of what the McCulloch MC1375 can do, but you have to consider that this steam cleaner is quite a bit cheaper, as well.

When using the Wagner Spraytech Steam Cleaner, you only need to fill up the water tank, attach the specific attachment that you want to use for the steam cleaning process, plug the steam cleaner in, and then turn the steam cleaner on. It’s a simple and easy process, and using the Wagner Spraytech Steam Cleaner is not difficult or challenging at all. Simplicity and ease of use are one of the defining features of this steam cleaner.

Inside the box, there are a couple of different things. First off, you have the steam cleaner itself. And then there is a window squeegee, which you can use to effortlessly clean windows, no matter how dirty they may be. After that, there’s a floor-cleaning brush, a cloth to aid in the floor cleaning process, two extension tubes, a measuring cup, a funnel that you will use to pour water into the steam cleaner, utility brushes, and, naturally, a manual that tells you how to use the Wagner Spraytech Steam Cleaner.

Using those different accessories, you can steam clean all manner of different surfaces. You see, the Wagner Spraytech Steam Cleaner is an exceptionally versatile steam cleaner, and that is one of the biggest benefits owning this steam cleaner gives you. There is nothing that you will be unable to clean, which, for the low price, is pretty great!

With that being said, though, in some ways, this isn’t the greatest steam cleaner. At least, in comparison to the McCulloch MC1375, which is quite similar. The water doesn’t last as long, although, it doesn’t take very long to refill and heat the water, and it’s not as powerful as the McCulloch MC1375 when it comes to the steam that is being produced. It is very powerful, but it might take a little more time and energy to remove certain stains and patches of dirt and grime properly.

However, these are small things, and when you consider the low cost of this steam cleaner, those minor inconveniences are a small price to pay.
