Features

It is a slow cooker; this is one that can cook food over a long period at a lower than average temperature;

This one cooker can replace a number of other types of pans or pots that you might have to buy separately, e.g. a skillet, saucepan or steamer;

The actual cooking pot is made of metal and can be placed in the oven for baking or roasting;

It is non-stick, from all reviews that I have read or watched, very easy to clean, and dishwasher safe;

It has a ladle that fits into a groove in the handle of the lid, a useful feature that I haven’t come across before.

Who should buy it

I would say that this is definitely a utensil for people who are really into cooking as a hobby, but who don’t want to invest in a lot of expensive separate cooking items and utensils.

Good for people with mobility issues, a Facebook user who has disabilities wrote that her Foodi enables her to cook many different recipes, and that auto shut-off means she doesn’t have to worry about food burning.

What do people say on Social Media

On You Tube, The Average Kitchen, an American channel, gave the Foodi a good review. The presenter starts with some basic cooking, steaming some broccoli, which he described as perfectly cooked after tasting it.

He then steamed some potatoes, he did not get perfect results, the potatoes were still raw in the middle after the cooking time recommended in the instruction and recipe book, BUT, he remarked that this may be dependent on the potatoes, because the recipe book did not specify a size for them, e.g. large or small.

He went on to try several more complex recipes, a minestrone soup, a chicken macaroni cheese casserole and a chicken pot pie, tasting them all himself after cooking, and he was very impressed with the results.

He said that the Foodi itself was very versatile, with a timer and a number of useful settings, that it was not as heavy as some cookers of its type, that the inner pot for the cooking and steaming had a good capacity, and that the non-stick covering was excellent, very easy to clean even after baking.

On Facebook, a lady named Agnes, writing on 16th October 2022, reports that the Foodi has been very helpful to her as she is disabled and on medication; she can do a number of different recipes in the one pot, and that the auto shut off means that she doesn’t have to worry falling asleep while food is cooking.

On Amazon, again mostly positive reviews, but one negative one that I came across, the buyer was concerned that the non-stick coating was potentially cancer-causing.

Conclusion

From all reviews the Ninja MC1001 Foodi PossibleCooker PRO comes across as being versatile, with different settings, suitable for both worktop cooking or having the pot placed in the oven, and easy to clean. It is expensive, (though the prices vary with different outlets) but it is an item that I would consider buying.
