PETLIBRO Tank Size

The PETLIBRO comes in two tank sizes. One that fits four liters of dry food, and the other that fits six liters. The tank that holds the food is fairly airtight. When we tested it, the food in the tank did not turn stale for the duration.

Aesthetics

The PETLIBRO comes in three styles. A sleek black feeder that has a transparent tank to easily monitor food levels; a translucent one that handsomely occupies its space; and finally, a white opaque unit that allows you to gauge what’s left in the container.

Power Source

The feeder has a dual power source. You can plug it into a wall point, and have a battery backup in case of a power outage. The batteries aren’t included. This, we found to be a valuable addition to the design, since a power outage or even the cord being knocked out by the pet, could end up leaving it without nourishment for the time the humans are away.

Feeding Schedule

The smart controller allows you to set the feeding schedule and the quantity to be disbursed at each time. There are four intervals you can set up in a day.

You can also decide how much you want to be released into the bowl at each interval. The feeder releases a measure of dry food as per your instruction. Each portion is about two and a half teaspoons. You can program it to release up to nine portions at each release.

Having this flexibility allows the feeder to be used for a wide range of cats and dogs. Smaller breeds need low quantities more frequently each day, while larger breeds should have more food each time but have a lesser number of times per day. This feeder supports both. We used the feeding cycles and the amount it feeds at each release and calculated that the largest breed you can feed with this feeder is about 65 pounds.

Smart Control

To assist with navigating through the options, the PETLIBRO feeder unit comes with a digital LCD screen that allows you to easily set up how often and how much you want to feed your pet. The display is observable and unambiguous.
