Today is the day we’re going to take a look at the Bissell BigGreen Commercial BG10 Deep Cleaning 2 Motor Extracter Machine.
That’s a mouthful, so we’ll just call it the “Bissell BG10 Carpet Cleaner”, for now.
The Bissell BG10 Carpet Cleaner
When you first take it out of the box, you’ll notice that it’s a bit hefty – 42 pounds – and on an aesthetic level, it’s simple. There isn’t much to take note of, but the design itself is clear. You can easily figure out how to use the carpet cleaner, and things are labeled clearly.
Due to the wheels on the device, you can effortlessly move the Bissell BG10 forwards, as well as backward. This is a simple feature, but notable, because many other carpet cleaners lack it. It serves as a way of making the overall cleaning experience a little easier, and a little more efficient.
You’ll also notice that you can adjust the handle, as well. Once again, this is a nice convenience that enables you to use the device in a way that is most comfortable, and efficient, for you.
Now, the Bissell BG10 Carpet Cleaner has two water tanks. The first tank is for dirty water, and this tank is directly above the second tank. This second tank is for clean water. To the side, there is a small indicator. This indicator tells you when you need to refill the tank with either water or cleaning solution.
Removing the water tanks is not a difficult process, either. You can simply unlatch them, and then take them over to the sink to fill them. No tools or weird processes are required.
With regards to the cleaning path of this carpet cleaner, it is a total of ten-inches. This isn’t particularly large, but it isn’t too small, either. You can cover a large amount of carpet in a relatively short period, and, more importantly, the suction is quite powerful. Powerful enough to cover the entirety of the brush itself, and to be able to suck up anything that is in its path.
Bissell has designed the BG10 Carpet Cleaner to be energy efficient, as well as water efficient. It doesn’t use too much water while cleaning, because it makes very good use of it, and the cleaning solution, while it is cleaning. This enables you to clean a lot, with just a little. And when you combine that with the strong motor and the good suction, you get a carpet cleaner that works well.
There are no problems with the cleaning ability of the BG10. As for other attributes, the power cord is 25 feet long. Now, unless you have a REALLY big room that you are cleaning, this will be more than sufficient.
The handle that you use to push and move the carpet cleaner around is nice because you can adjust it. You can adjust it in whatever direction you want, and you can also fold it in, allowing you to store the Bissell BG10 Carpet Cleaner a little easier, than if the handle was simply sticking out, perpetually.
Every carpet cleaner has flaws, however. And the BG10, while exceptional in its own right, does have a couple of flaws that we need to point out.
First, it’s kind of an ugly machine. Aesthetically, it just isn’t much to look at. For most people, this isn’t a problem. But, for you, it may not be something you find particularly appealing.
Second, while it isn’t too heavy, it is still a little bulky. This can make storing the machine a little bit tricky.
Third of all, after a certain period, many have reported that the BG10 leaks dirty droplets of water onto your carpet. Sometimes streaks of dirty water.

However, do note that it’s not the sleekest machine, and storing it can be a little difficult. Also, make sure to watch out for any leakages.
