Maytronics is a brand that, while relatively young, has seemingly conquered the robotic pool cleaner market.

No doubt, there are many specific reasons for this. But, above all else, the main reason why Maytronics was able to do this is because each and every one of their robotic pool cleaners is fantastic.

Today, we’re going to be taking a look at what may just be one of their best, the Dolphin Triton PS Plus Robotic Pool Cleaner!

Before we get into that, let’s quickly go over what a robotic pool cleaner actually is.

Robotic Pool Cleaners

A robotic pool cleaner is a device that, using robotic technology, automates the process of cleaning your pool. This is done using brushes and a suction system that scrubs and gathers dirt and debris, feeding it into a filter, and then into a bag that can be emptied once the cleaning process has finished.

Most robotic pool cleaners give you a remote control. Maytronics does this, and all of their remote controls are working like a charm. You have access to every feature that you would ever need, and the remote control itself is light, durable, and well-designed.

With the Dolphin Triton PS Plus Robotic Pool Cleaner, however, you not only get that, but you also have access to an app for your smartphone. Using BlueTooth, you can control the robotic pool cleaner, which lets you clean specific areas a bit more thoroughly.

Weighing just 16,5 pounds, for a robotic pool cleaner, the Dolphin Triton PS Plus is exceptionally light. According to Dolphin, it’s actually fifty-percent lighter than most other robotic pool cleaners. This makes it easy to take out of the water, and, of course, to move into the water. Fortunately, though, you don’t actually need to pick up the robotic pool cleaner at all. Instead, with the press of a few buttons, it enters the pool and exits it.

Of course, none of this describes how the device actually cleans. The simple answer is that it cleans exceptionally well, and does an exceptional job. But, that’s not the full picture.

So, the Dolphin Triton PS Plus uses a technology known as “PowerStream.” PowerStream is a technology that has to do with the jets that give the robotic pool cleaner friction while it climbs walls.

In the past, many robotic pool cleaners have had problems with cleaning walls. While it may seem simple, there’s a lot that goes into the technology itself. And so, one of the most notable things about the Dolphin Triton PS Plus is that it has absolutely no problems cleaning walls and scrubbing off the dirt and debris while on those walls!

PowerStream technology is also really effective when the device is cleaning the waterline of your pool. At all times, there is consistent friction, and this prevents any difficulties or issues from taking place, during the process.

Along with that, PowerStream technology also refers to the dual-scrubbing brushes that are used, while cleaning. These are simple brushes, but they work very well and can easily scrub away things like dirt, moss, and whatever else is in your pool.

To aid in the cleaning process, you have two different scrubbing modes/cleaning cycles that give you more power and more efficiency. They can make the process faster, for a quick clean. Or longer, for a more thorough clean. It all depends on what you want and the state of your swimming pool.

The Triton PS Plus scrubs the floor of your pool, the walls, and the waterline.

Using a swivel cable that has been designed to eliminate the risk and, perhaps, inevitability of tangling, this device is incredibly flexible and incredibly convenient. Maytronics has actually patented the swivel technology that is on display here, and it enables you to swivel the cable around, without having to create knots and tangles. The swivel is effective and using this robotic pool cleaner; you never have to worry about the power cord tangling up ever again.

On the top of the device, there is the filter basket. This filter basket is light and easy to remove. Simply pop open the hatch, and pick up the basket. Then, you can empty the filters, and rinse out the basket.

If there are any flaws to be found, it is that this is an expensive robotic pool cleaner. Maytronics is the best, and the best isn’t cheap.
