Roborock S5 vs. E25 vs. C10: Robot Vacuum Comparison

Roborock is one of those brand names that will inevitably come up when you’re looking for a good robotic vacuum. While it isn’t as popular as iRobot, Roborock has consistently produced some excellent robotic vacuums. The Roborock S5, E25, and C10 all have their own merits, and we’re going to be looking at what those merits are and what each of these robot vacuum cleaners does well.

The Roborock S5

First on the list is the Roborock S5. Now, the S5 is by far the most “premium” model on this list. It is the priciest and has the most features.

One of the most significant advancements of this robot vacuum is the inclusion of a variety of new sensors. One of these sensors is a “Collision Sensor”, which detects furniture and other obstacles, allowing the vacuum to steer itself in another direction. Then, you have the “Cliff Sensors”, which sense the height of the stair steps, preventing the robot from falling down and getting damaged. There is also the LDS Omni-Directional Sensor, which scans obstacles that could lead to a collision.

Last, but not least, is the upgraded Laser-Directional System. This system enables the Roborock S5 to create a map of the space that it is in, in less than five-seconds, allowing it to develop the most efficient route for cleaning.

None of this would be very important, though, if the vacuum lacked power. It certainly doesn’t, and it has a variety of modes that enable it to clean any type of floor/surface with incredible ease and efficiency. To name just one example, there is a “Carpet Pressurization” mode that is automatic and turns the suction onto its highest levels, allowing the carpet to be thoroughly cleaned, with no input on your part.

In conjunction with the 2000Pa wind pressure that the motor offers, it works exceptionally well and is a very easy and effective vacuum.

Finally, the functionality is especially useful here, because you can use your smartphone to create schedules. You can select specific parts of your home that you want the vacuum to clean, and there is even a remote control function, allowing you to move the vacuum yourself.

Unlike most other robot vacuums, the battery-life is up to two-and-a-half hours, which is truly remarkable. When it’s about to run out, the vacuum immediately goes to its charging bay.

The Roborock E25

Just like the Roborock S5, the Roborock E25 can create schedules, to select specific rooms and spots to clean, among several other key features. This is due to the sensors built into the device, which aren’t anywhere as extensive as those of the S5, but they are incredibly powerful.

Once again, you also have brushes and modes that automatically adjust, depending on the type of surface that the vacuum is on. If it is on a thick carpet, it will change its suction speed and power to the highest mode. However, the wind pressure is only 1800Pa, rather than the S5’s 2000Pa. This isn’t a substantial difference, but depending on just how much dirt and debris you intend to clean, it may be something of note.

Another difference is that this vacuum will only last for 100 minutes, on a single charge. This is still a lot, but it is 50 minutes less than the Roborock S5.

The main differences have to do with the less elaborate sensors, a motor that isn’t as powerful, and shorter battery run-time.

The Roborock C10

Now, the Roborock C10 is by far the least powerful, but most affordable, robot vacuum on this list. When it comes to the level of control that you have over the vacuum, it is the same as the previous models. Using your smartphone, you have all of the same features.

However, the sensors aren’t as elaborate, and the routes it takes won’t be as efficient or effective as those of the S5 or the E25, but they do work. Regarding speed and motor power, you have 1600Pa to work with, which is still a lot, but less than the previous two models. As for the battery life, it lasts up to one hour.

However, it really must be said that this is an excellent low-budget robot vacuum that does work well, especially for smaller homes, and it is effective. With thick carpeting, you might run into some issues, along with the fact that it doesn’t always pick up as much dirt as it should, but overall, it’s a great robot vacuum.
