What Does The Roomba E6 Have To Offer?

The Roomba E6 is one of the simplest, but most effective, Roomba robot vacuums. Unlike many of the more expensive Roomba robot vacuums, it doesn’t offer an elaborate array of complex features, so to speak, but it offers all of the essentials, and they all work extremely well.

For you to use this robot vacuum, you will be relying on either the included remote control or your smartphone. By using the remote control, you have access to features such as creating a custom schedule and choosing the cleaning mode.

You can only use this remote control when you’re within range of the robot vacuum. If you use your smartphone, however, you can access these same features at any time and any place, making for a more convenient experience.

Within the robot vacuum, there are Dual Multi-Surface Brushes. These brushes are made of rubber, and they are extremely powerful. Because of these brushes, the robot vacuum is capable of removing the dirt, dust, and debris that happens to be in its path while vacuuming any hard floor.

Vacuuming on soft floors isn’t nearly as easy, as is true of most robot vacuums, but the brushes are thick enough that they can dive into most rugs and carpets and remove the materials contained within them.

To ensure that the robot vacuum is capable of removing those materials, when they have been brushed up, there is a Power-Lifting Suction system within the robot vacuum. By having this system, the robot vacuum can generate a great deal of suction, which makes quick work of those materials, allowing you to dispose of them when the vacuuming process is finished.

If you look inside the box this robot vacuum comes in, you will find two Dual Mode Virtual Wall Barriers. By having these Virtual Wall Barriers, you are able to restrict where the robot vacuum can and cannot go. All you need to do is set one Virtual Wall Barrier in front of a doorway, for example, and by doing this, the robot vacuum will know not to go through this doorway. That way, you can keep the robot vacuum out of certain spaces, or within certain spaces.

In the end, the Roomba E6 is a very useful and very functional robot vacuum. If you are looking for something that works extremely well, while offering no more than the basics, then the Roomba E6 won’t disappoint!

What Does The Roomba 985 Have To Offer?

The Roomba 985, in many ways, offers the same things that the Roomba E6 offers. There aren’t too many overall differences, but the differences that are present do transform the overall vacuuming process.

Just as with the Roomba E6, you will be using either a remote control or smartphone to control this robot vacuum. Within the robot vacuum, there are Dual Multi-Surface Brushes. The overall design and aesthetic of the robot vacuum is almost the exact same.

Beyond those similarities – and, there are others, but those are the most obvious – there are a few very notable differences. The first of which is that this robot vacuum offers 5-times the suction power as the E6.

Because of this, vacuuming on especially dirty soft and hard floors is so much easier! If you have very dirty floors, then this is a game-changer and makes it so much easier for this robot vacuum to thoroughly clean those floors.

The other notable difference is that there are no Virtual Wall Barriers. Because of this, you have slightly less control over the vacuuming process. This can be inconvenient, especially if you have specific areas that you want the robot vacuum to vacuum. But, there are certain cleaning modes that you can rely on for more precise cleaning – “Spot Mode” being the best example.

At the end of the day, the Roomba 985 is an excellent vacuum to purchase if you need more suction power. If you like what the Roomba E6 offers, but are looking for more suction power, then the Roomba 985 will not disappoint you!
