De’Longhi ECAM35075SI vs ECAM37095TI [Dinamica vs Dinamica Plus]

De’Longhi is a company well-known for their coffee making, they are considered one of the best, if not the best, for coffee brewing appliances. Being associated with other world renown companies such as Nespresso and competing often with themselves to make something even better and more effective. This is something that is very much the case for the De’Longhi ECAM35075SI Dinamica and the De’Longhi ECAM37095TI Dinamica Plus, which in many ways have very similar functions, the Dinamica Plus simply aiming to one-up its predecessor. Despite having a lot in common there are some differences between the two, namely concerning smart functions and slight variations in the physical model.

Smart Features
For one, when it concerns the ‘smart’ features on the Dinamica Plus they are very much a jump from the Dinamica model. Including both an app from which you can edit recipes to your taste (there are 16 different set recipes to adapt), and a maximum of 3 profiles you can save your recipes to to allow for variations in personal preference. This is an incredible feature especially for more tech-savvy environments or households. Though possibly more of a downside for those who simply want something simple and not overly complicated to work out. Additionally to this feature, the Dinamica Plus also has a TFT full-touch color display, which means that they have a screen equivalent to a portable computer or smartphone. It may make it even easier to use, see what you are getting and with a simple touch get your drink of choice.

Model Variety

Despite this, the Dinamica may hold a classical and timeless simplicity that makes it generally easy to use and effective as an automatic coffee maker. According to Fluent In Coffee, it is in the top 7 of all De’Longhi coffee machines. Both these machines have built-in bur-grinders as well as the option to use pre-ground coffee. Meaning you can use any variety of flavored beans and even decaf coffees. This variety is also applied to the compatibility with alternative milks. They also are practically the same size and contain similar capacities, though the Plus has a slightly higher pressure bar instead of 15, it’s 19 and can hold 50 grams more coffee beans than the non “Plus” version. Both machines have dishwashable parts, which makes them relatively easy to use and keep well maintained over time. Less hassle, more coffee. So it’s hard to say if the additional features of the Plus are convincing enough as a reason to pay a drastically higher cost. The Dinamica is by every measure as effective, though it may not have as many features in terms of saved recipes or smart screens.

The Dinamica Plus is also slightly more compact and built to be more durable with a titanium body instead of the stainless steel of the Dinamica. The Plus is slightly smaller, and perhaps then better suited for any kind of environment, but the difference is honestly minute and not much of a consideration. The Dinamica has automatic coffee options, almost exactly like the newer model, which makes it almost as easy to use as the Plus, it may not have as advanced screen technology and this might make it more confusing and difficult for some and straightforward for others.

But which is ‘better’?
In the end it comes down to the individual user. If smarter, pre-savable coffee is what you want then paying for the Dinamica Plus is well worth it. A real judgment would instead be in De’Longhi is in fact the company to buy from when their machines have little variety from one to the other and cost more than other coffee companies, mostly because of their prestige in the industry. It might be bold to suggest but it has been suggested that brands like Philips might be more worth it for value and variety. But to this I say, quality comes first. If you want good coffee, buy a good machine.

The Dinamica models are both good automated coffee machines and worth the cost in various ways, you can consider your own personal preferences and needs above mine for making your purchasing decisions. On a lower budget the Dinamica is well worth it, but if you’re able, the Dinamica Plus is truly special and will make you feel like you have a robot caretaker, someone who remembers your favorite drinks, someone who considers your changing tastes, someone who works with you to make the perfect coffee, perhaps that’s precisely what you’re looking for.
