Ninja AMZ493BRN vs BL770 vs BN801

From handheld blenders to large smoothie blenders, the world has lots to offer for your needs. Within Ninja’s range of blenders lie many options that to the average shopper may appear to be all too similar. This is where we come in, to assist you in your own selections and help you whittle down the differences between these appliances. Three tough competitors include the Ninja BL770 Mega Kitchen System, the Ninja BN801 Professional Plus Kitchen System and the Ninja AMZ493BRN Compact Kitchen System; which is really the most worthwhile product, both in spending and in functionality?

It’s important to first highlight the similarities of these items. All the blenders include stacked blades, chopping blades and dough blades, both a blender, food processor and additional single-serving cups, as well as recipe inspiration. Amazing features which fit your every blending need, from smoothies to cookie recipes, you are ready to prepare a variety of recipes. On top of this all parts used in the process can be dish-washed, which makes them easy to maintain and use quickly without problem.

Functions and Settings

These are perfect for any home cook that needs quick and easy meals, dips, smoothies, doughs and more with little trouble and additional cleanup. The most basic blenders, like the Compact Kitchen System, have 3 main functions: to blend, crush ice and provide a food processor. It provides the general functions for any blender, compact and to the point, preparing you for drinks, slushies, smoothies and even salads.

The other two blender options go beyond the basics; however, the Mega Kitchen System goes from 3 functions to 4, adding the option to have single-serve as its own setting on the machine. This may not seem to be a big difference, but it does allow for a more specifically helpful function that gets the job done even more accurately. Similarly, the Professional Plus System builds on this, giving us 5 functions, allowing for chunkier options and nutrient extraction. Best for anyone using juice cleansers or wanting to simply eat some bite-sized fruit.

The Mega Kitchen is lagging behind the Professional Plus and the Compact as it is a manual system, unlike the other programmable and personal systems. Particularly like that of the Professional Plus which does all of this with the help of newer technology. The Auto-IQ Technology helps the system establish measurements and time of blending. It makes it easy and well-established to pause and blend to your every need.

Parts

All of the blenders provide additional parts which can be a little bit frustrating, you’ll always need to find the right cup for each of your needs, whether it’s processing or blending or using a cup that is just for you so you can take it with you on the go. But it also allows you to have a greater range of options.

The parts of the Compact and the Mega are chunkier in comparison to the sleek modern look of the new Professional Plus. It feels much more advanced and ‘professional’. But the benefits lie beyond the aesthetic, the durability and quality of the Professional Plus is clear simply from the material used to make it much more appropriate for its job. Using stainless steel instead of plastic (like with the Mega), there is promise for this to be a longer lasting purchase than other blenders available out there, simply because it is heavier duty and more stable, though it makes the main parts less portable and heavy, especially because portable 24-oz single-serving cups come with it.

Bigger and Better?

The Professional is slightly bigger, perhaps this is the reason for it to be considered at the top of the list for your purchase, especially if you are in a larger household. It’s perfect for meal prepping, having week-long meal options like soups and dips and doughs available for quick and easy cooking. All the blenders have a 64oz max liquid capacity, but the Professional has two 24oz single-serving cups, unlike the Mega with 16oz cups or the Compact with 18 oz cups. Of course, the appeal of this is entirely upon the individual, whether you’re someone who prefers smaller portions or portions that could be shared. The Mega and the Professional also have 8 cup food processors, instead of the 5 cup processor that the Compact has.

I cannot say definitively if bigger is better, it is dependent on the individual. But all these blenders do their job well. That is to say that if you need something cheaper and for yourself only perhaps the Compact Kitchen System is for you, but if you want to blend in style and blend as well as you can the Professional Plus System is designed to be better and more advanced and therefore worth the pricier bargain.
