Today, you’re going to learn all about the Honeywell HCM350W and the LEVOIT Humidifier. Both of these units come from well-respected brands that are known for making high-quality devices.
Now, these are both great humidifiers. However, one of these humidifiers is going to be better for you, when it comes to meeting and fulfilling your humidification needs. So, with that being said, let’s dive right into the Honeywell HCM350W!
Honeywell HCM350W Review
As humidifiers go, the Honeywell HCM350W Germ Free Cool Mist Humidifier is definitely not one of the largest, or heftiest, devices on the market. Weighing just 11.7 pounds, you can easily pick this device up with one hand, and move it to another room. It’s portable, so it doesn’t need to remain stationed anywhere in particular.
For example, if you want to move it from the living room to the kitchen, you can do just that, without experiencing any problems or difficulties. Part of this is due to the size, and the other part of it is because Honeywell has installed a small handle on the top of the humidifier, enabling you to more easily pick it up. Portability is one of the main design choices that Honeywell chose to make.
The water tank for this humidifier can hold up to one gallon of water. For a small humidifier, such as this one, this is a pretty average amount of water.
You can run this humidifier for 24 hours, using that one-gallon tank, if you run the humidifier on the “Low” setting.
Due to the size of the humidifier and the amount of water it can store, the Honeywell HCM350W is great for smaller rooms, such as bedrooms and even small offices. For bigger spaces, such as living rooms, it can work, but it won’t be as effective.
When you pour in tap water, the water flows through a water path that has UV light shining all across it. This UV light kills all of the bacteria in the tap water. Then, the water flows into a small base, and this water is absorbed into a wicking filter. Dry air is then sucked into the humidifier, and through the filter, which absorbs all of the moisture. Then, this moisture is sent into the air, as mist.
Ultimately, the Honeywell HCM350W is an efficient and well-designed humidifier. It’s affordable, too, so you won’t break the bank if you buy it.
LEVOIT Humidifier Review
With the LEVOIT B01MYGNGKK Humidifier, you are getting a device that is quite a bit more elaborate than the Honeywell HCM350W. Specifically, the LEVOIT Humidifier gives you many different options, with regards to how you want to use the humidifier, whereas the Honeywell HCM350W is a bit more restricted.
Right off the bat, you’ll notice the water tank can hold 1.5 gallons of water. This means you can run the humidifier for a total of 36-hours, on the lowest setting, before needing to refill the tank.
Now, the output, per hour, is 500 milliliters of water. This means that you can easily humidify an office, a bedroom, and even a small studio apartment.
Refilling the water tank is easy since the tank opening is nice and wide. This also makes it easy to clean the tank, since you can take a small towel and rub down the surface of the tank, due to the size of the opening.
The two main modes are “Smart Auto Mode”, and “Aromatherapy Mode”. With Smart Auto Mode, the sensors are able to detect the humidity levels of the room that the humidifier is currently in. And then, it will adjust its own settings to accommodate that. With Aromatherapy Mode, you can add essential oils to make your air smell extra nice.
You don’t need to use Smart Auto Mode if you don’t want to, because the LEVOIT Humidifier always gives you access to the basic settings, using the remote control.
Conclusion
Ultimately, at the end of the day, the Honeywell HCM350W is an excellent humidifier, but it doesn’t give you that much control, and it doesn’t have as many useful features as the LEVOIT Humidifier.
However, if you just want a basic humidifier, then the Honeywell HCM350W is a great choice. If you want something more elaborate, then you should go with the LEVOIT Humidifier.
