Two of the most popular and successful robot vacuum manufacturers are iRobot – iRobot manufactures the Roomba – and Eufy, and Eufy manufactures the RoboVac.
Today, iRobot is the more successful of the two, and the Roomba is the most popular robot vacuum on the market. Everyone knows what a Roomba is, even if they don’t own a robot vacuum, or even intend to own one.
Much of this comes from the fact that iRobot was one of the first robot vacuum manufacturers and, along with that, the Roomba is much older than the RoboVac and much older than many of the other robot vacuums that are on the market. So, iRobot was able to capture a significant part of the market, when it was still young.
However, this does not mean that the Roomba is the best robot vacuum cleaner. Several arguments can be made regarding the idea that the Roomba, while excellent, is weaker than some of its competitors.
We’re going to be talking about the Eufy RoboVac 30C in today’s guide. And, in this guide, you are going to learn all about the different features and attributes of this particular robot vacuum, as well as what makes it such an effective robot vacuum, and whether it is worthy of being compared to the Roomba.
Right before we do that, though, we’re going to define what a robot vacuum cleaner is. By doing this, it’ll make the rest of the guide a lot easier to understand.
What Is A Robot Vacuum?
A robot vacuum is a type of vacuum cleaner that takes the entire process of vacuuming, and it automates that process. Instead of you having to control and move around a vacuum manually, the entire process of vacuuming is done on its own, without the need for your manual input.
Using a robot vacuum, you can tell the vacuum what to vacuum and when, and what cleaning settings need to be used, and it will do that for you. You just turn it on and then get back to your daily life, and when you come back, your home will have been vacuumed.
In many ways, robot vacuums are indicative of the types of technologies that we’re going to be seeing a lot more of, in the near future. Technologies that take the tasks that we don’t want to do, and then these technologies perform these tasks on their own so that we have more time and energy to spend on the things that are genuinely important to us.
What Does The Eufy RoboVac 30C Offer?
Let’s talk about BoostIQ technology, first. So, BoostIQ technology is something that Eufy has spent a lot of time developing, and a lot of time emphasizing when it comes to marketing the Eufy RoboVac 30C.
Essentially, BoostIQ technology is a type of technology that uses the sensors of the vacuum to determine what type of suction power should be used, at what time, depending on the surface that the vacuum is on.
For example, if the 30C goes from a hardwood floor, which doesn’t require that much suction power, to a carpeted floor, which requires more suction, it will then turn on the higher suction power so that it can remove the dirt and dust from that floor. When the vacuum is back onto a hard surface, it will lessen the suction power.
When you combine this system, with the excellent navigation system, you get a robot vacuum that is exceptionally good at knowing what to clean, and how to clean it.
Cleaning Power
With the suction power, you have access to 1500Pa. That’s a lot, although many of the Roomba models offer more – it must be said – but using this suction power, you can clean most things, without effort.
To aid in this, there are three brushes on the bottom of the vacuum. Each brush forms what is known as the “Three-Point Cleaning System”, and this cleaning system consists of two brushes that are on both sides of the vacuum, and then a really big brush that is on the front of the vacuum. With the big brush, all of the dirt and debris is swept up, using the brush, into the suction pathway, which is right behind the brush. From this suction pathway, every piece of dirt and dust is thrown into the dustbin, which can hold up to 0.6 liters of dirt and dust. For a robot vacuum, that’s quite a bit of space.
Virtual Walls
One of the cool things about the Eufy RoboVac 30C is the fact that it comes with these little Boundary Strips. Now, Boundary Strips are physical strips that you lay out, on the floor, and these strips are used to tell the vacuum where it can clean, and where it cannot clean. Every Boundary Strip forms a boundary for that vacuum, and using the sensors that the RoboVac 30C has, it can detect those strips, and then the sensors tell the vacuum to go somewhere else so that it is able to clean the area that it is currently in properly.
The RoboVac 30C has a battery-life of one-hundred minutes. That is on a single charge. For a robot vacuum, this is pretty good. It isn’t as good as some of the Roomba robot vacuums that are available, it must be said, but it is quite good, and you won’t have any problems using this robot vacuum to clean a larger space, in an adequate amount of time.
Through the use of your smartphone, you can activate the vacuum, no matter where you are, and then you can switch to different cleaning modes. You can also create a custom schedule, tell the vacuum to recharge, and several other features.

In many ways, the Eufy RoboVac 30C is a great competitor to the Roomba. While it may lack a few things that you can easily find in most Roomba models, that doesn’t detract from the fact that the Eufy RoboVac 30C is an excellent robot vacuum, that has some incredible features!
