Today, we’re going to be looking at two of the best stick vacuums on the market. The Tineco A11, and the Shark ION. Both of these stick vacuums are fantastic, and they are some of the best on the market.
We’re going to be looking at the unique features and attributes that they offer, as well as how these features and attributes affect your overall experience with the stick vacuum.
Before we dive into this guide, though, we’re going to go over what a stick vacuum is. That way, you’ll have a better understanding of the terms we’re going to be using, and the nature of what a stick vacuum is meant to do.

What Is A Stick Vacuum?
A stick vacuum is a vacuum that is very thin and lightweight. If you are familiar with upright vacuums – these are the most popular types of vacuums around – then you are familiar with the basic shape of a stick vacuum. But, a stick vacuum is much thinner than an Upright Vacuum and, along with that, it’s also significantly lighter.
You can pick up a stick vacuum with ease, and you can move it around all kinds of different spaces, since it offers a significant amount of mobility and freedom, when it comes to what it is, exactly, that you are vacuuming.
Stick vacuums are, in the end, vacuums that have been designed with mobility and flexibility in mind. You aren’t going to have access to the suction power than a traditional upright vacuum will provide, but you do have the ability to move the vacuum around freely, and to clean all kinds of different spaces, regardless of how small those spaces may be.
What Does The Tineco A11 Offer?
Weighing just 5.5 pounds, and with a dustbin that can hold 0.6 liters of dirt and dust, the Tineco A11 is very light. You can pick it up with one hand, and you won’t have any problems moving it around.
To aid in this general ease-of-use, the design of the vacuum is sleek and clear, while also being ergonomic. With the sleekness of the whole thing, you have a nice and clean aesthetic that comes across as being futuristic. Every little button and feature is labeled and delineated in a clear manner, and you aren’t going to have any issues determining what button does what, and how the whole thing works.
Holding the vacuum is easy, too, due to the handle and the ergonomics of the overall design. In the end, the user experience is fantastic!
You have two brushes that you can use, for cleaning. One of these brushes is designed for hard floors, and using this brush, you can pick up dirt and dust from any hard floor – whether that floor is made of wood, stone, or any other type of flooring – and this is accomplished using the brush, and the motor, which can provide up to 120W of suction power. For a stick vacuum, that is quite a bit of power.
Using the second brush, you can vacuum on carpets. This brush allows you to remove dirt and dust from your carpets, and to do this. It does require a bit more suction power. But, with that being said, it doesn’t require that much more suction power and the overall process is simple and easy.
In terms of the battery life, you have sixty-minutes of battery life, when you are using one of the regular cleaning modes. If you are using the highest cleaning mode, which uses the full 120W of suction power, then you’re going to have fifteen minutes of battery life.
Ultimately, the Tineco A11 is a very well-designed stick vacuum that provides a significant amount of suction power. Using this suction power, you won’t have any problems removing all kinds of dirt and dust from whatever surface you clean. Just remember, though, that the battery doesn’t last for that long.
What Does The Shark ION Offer?
In comparison to the Tineco A11, the Shark ION offers eighty-minutes of battery-life. That’s twenty-minutes more, which may not seem particularly significant, but it does mean that you don’t have to spend as much time charging and recharging the Shark ION, which may be very important to you, depending on your intended usage.
When it comes to the general design, the Shark ION is sleek and well-made. You can fold this stick vacuum up, making it easy to store, and it has a nice handle, and every feature and aspect is clearly labeled and delineated. It does weigh 8.5 pounds, though, so it’s a little heavier than the Tineco A11.
When you are vacuuming, you can use the “MultiFlex Technology” that Shark has given this vacuum. Using this technology, you can bend the wand of this vacuum – the wand connects the brush head to the motor, and then to the dirt bin – so that you can reach underneath all kinds of spaces, including under the bed and the couch.
With the press of a button, you can transform the Shark ION into a Handheld Vacuum. By doing this, you can vacuum the dirt and dust on your couch, and other upholstery, while also having the freedom to move it within even smaller and more compact spaces.
As for the cleaning power of the Shark ION, the Shark ION uses something known as “DuoClean Technology”, and this technology consists of using two individual brushrolls to aid in vacuuming on both carpets and rugs, as well as floors that are made of things like wood and stone.
Through the use of these two brush rolls, you have a lot of freedom and flexibility when it comes to how you use the vacuum, and the different types of surfaces that you clean, using this vacuum.

Ultimately, the Shark ION is a fantastic vacuum. It isn’t as powerful, when it comes to sheer suction power, as the Tineco A11, but it is cheaper, and, aside from the suction power, just as good.
If you are on a budget but want something well-designed and very efficient, then the Shark ION is an incredible choice!
