Today, many people are interested in portable air conditioners. With a portable air conditioner, you don’t have to spend a bunch of money or take a bunch of time, installing the air conditioner, within a very specific space. Each one of these portable air conditioners comes from DeLonghi, a company that has manufactured some fantastic portable air conditioners.

By the time you are finished reading this guide, you’re going to know which one of these portable air conditioners is the best one for you!
The DeLonghi Pinguino Deluxe Portable Air Conditioner Review
To start this guide, we’re going to be taking a look at the DeLonghi Pinguino Deluxe Portable Air Conditioner.
So, this is a pretty basic portable air conditioner, and it isn’t particularly elaborate when it comes to the features that it offers. But, it is still very good, because it’s effective and efficient.
Every air conditioner has something known as a “MAC”, which stands for “Maximum Area Coverage”, and this just refers to the amount of space that the air conditioner can cool. For this portable air conditioner, you can cool a space that is up to 600 square feet, which is a living room, a dining room, or even a big bedroom.
Naturally, since this is an air conditioner, there is a cooling feature. This is the biggest and most important feature, but there is also a fan, which helps aid in creating good airflow and ensuring that the air is flowing properly, and getting cool. However, along with that, there is also a dehumidifier, and this is super useful because, with the dehumidifier, you can remove all of the excess moisture from the air, which aids in making a room feel much cooler.
To use this portable air conditioner, there is an excellent remote control, as well as a small control panel on the top of the machine, and you can use this to set the timer, adjust the fan speeds, turn it on and off, and change the temperature.
The DeLonghi Pinguino Portable Air Conditioner Review
So, the DeLonghi Pinguino Portable Air Conditioner is part of the same product line, but it isn’t a “Deluxe” portable air conditioner. And this is because the MAC is only 550 square-feet, rather than 600 square feet. This is not a big difference, although the price is quite a bit lower than the DeLonghi Pinguino Deluxe Portable Air Conditioner, and you won’t have any issues cooling bedrooms and living rooms, as well as small apartments.
You have access to the main air conditioner, which is used to cool whatever space the machine is in, and then you have access to the fan, and then the dehumidifier. All three of these work very well.
The control scheme is the same as that of the DeLonghi Pinguino Deluxe Portable Air Conditioner as well. And, in the end, there aren’t that many differences.
One nice thing about this portable air conditioner, though, is the fact that it is very easy to set up. Using the wheels on the bottom, and the handles, as well as the other components that are easy to put together, you can set this portable air conditioner up in just five minutes.
The De’Longhi PACN110EC Pinguino Portable Air Conditioner Review
With the De’Longhi PACN110EC Pinguino Portable Air Conditioner, you have a MAC of 350 square feet. Here’s the thing about this portable air conditioner, it’s designed for smaller spaces, and the general functionality reflects that. You won’t be using this to cool larger spaces, but you can use it to cool smaller spaces, and you can move it around with ease, as well.
Just as with the others on this list, you have access to the cooler, the fan, and the dehumidifier. Those are the basic features and using the remote control or command terminal. You can adjust the timer and the temperature, while having easy access to the other features, as well.
Due to the smaller size, it’s a lot easier to move this portable air conditioner around, into a variety of different spaces. You can push or pick up the air conditioner, and the wheels make this transportation easy. So, while it does have a smaller MAC, it’s a bit more mobile, and this means you can use it in all kinds of different spaces, without having to deal with the size and weight constraints.
If that is important to you, then this is a great choice. If not, then the other DeLonghi portable air conditioners are probably better choices, and there isn’t a significant price difference, either.
The DeLonghi PACC120E Portable Air Conditioner Review
With the DeLonghi PACC120E Portable Air Conditioner, you have a portable air conditioner that provides a significant amount of cooling power, but that cooling power is confined to a relatively small space. A space that is, at the most, 450 square feet.
Here’s the thing about this portable air conditioner, it’s designed for smaller spaces, but it’s designed to cool those smaller spaces in a very thorough and effective manner, ensuring that the entire space is cooled at the ideal temperature. And, the same goes for the fan and dehumidifier, which are both very powerful, and work very well.
In fact, with the dehumidifier, in a single day, you can remove up to 76 pints of moisture. One thing to note, however, is that this is dependent on the setting that you choose.
Just as with the others, you can control all of the basic functions using either the control panel or the remote control. And, you have access to a timer, as well as settings for the fan, the temperature, and the dehumidifier.
It is a bit heavier than the other portable air conditioners on this list, though, because it does provide a significant amount of power. As a result of this, it isn’t that mobile, so you might have a harder time moving it around. However, the design does have good, sturdy castor wheels, and handles that you can use to move it around with relative ease, so that is important to note. So, while it is heavier, that doesn’t mean you’re going to find it an impossible task, moving the portable air conditioner to other spaces.
The De’Longhi PACAN140ES.WH-3A Pinguino Plus Portable Air Conditioner Review
Next up on the list is the De’Longhi PACAN140ES.WH-3A Pinguino Plus Portable Air Conditioner, which has not only a very long name but also a nice MAC. Using this portable air conditioner, you can cool a space that is 600 square feet. Many apartments fall under that label, as well as living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms. Unless you live in a home with especially large rooms and spaces, then this portable air conditioner should work just fine.
You can move this portable air conditioner around easily. Part of this is due to the standard design features, such as the wheels and the handles, but the other aspect of it is the fact that this portable air conditioner weighs less than some of the others on this list, and it isn’t as bulky, so you’ll have an easier pushing it into various spaces, and setting it up.
Just as with the others, you have the air conditioner, for cooling, and then a fan, which helps to circulate the air, and, of course, the dehumidifier. This dehumidifier isn’t as good as the one in the DeLonghi PACC120E Portable Air Conditioner, but it does work very well, and it keeps all of the excess moisture out of your air, which helps to keep things nice and cool.
One very nice addition is the fact that you have access to something known as the “BioSilver Filter”. Now, this filter is used to prevent things like mold and mildew from growing, and it helps to break those things apart from the air that is being brought into your home, while also aiding in the dehumidifiers efforts.
Other than that, though, this is pretty much the same portable air conditioner as the others. But, your air will be a bit cleaner, which is very nice, since you won’t have to deal with things like mold and mildew growing.
The DeLonghi PACAN140HPEWC Whisper Cool Portable Air Conditioner Review
With the DeLonghi PACAN140HPEWC Whisper Cool Portable Air Conditioner, you have an incredible amount of power at your disposal and a MAC that, while relatively small, is still very powerful.
Using this portable air conditioner, you can effortlessly cool a room that is 500 square feet, and in doing this, you have access to 14,000 BTUs of power.
To aid in this, there is a dehumidifier that you can use with a mode called “Real Feel”, which focuses on keeping the humidity in check and cooling your room properly, too, in a manner that is energy efficient.
Along with that feature, there is also a heater built into this portable air conditioner. This means you can use it for cooling, and heating, which is a nice feature that does make life a lot easier, because now you aren’t confined to only using this portable air conditioner during those hot periods of the year, but you can now use it during the cool periods.
However, the biggest feature is the “Whisper Cool” function. Now, this is a pretty basic feature, but it is nice because this portable air conditioner does make a lot of noise. Most of them do. But, with the Whisper Cool feature, this noise is reduced by fifty percent. You can then run this device while you are sleeping, and it won’t disrupt your sleep or annoy you, as you go about the day.
The DeLonghi Whisper Cool Portable Air Conditioner Review

With a MAC of 550 square feet, you’re not going to have any real problems cooling most spaces. And, along with the basic cooling features, there is also a fan that helps the air flow, and a dehumidifier, which is great for getting rid of the excess moisture that might be in the air outside, which is where this portable air conditioner pulls air from.
Using the BioSilver Filter, you won’t have to worry about things like mold and mildew growing in the air conditioner, or being brought into your home. This filter kills all of those things. Along with that, this filter is great for reducing the presence of things like nasty odors, so you don’t have to worry about them, either, with this portable air conditioner.
