Honeywell and Vornado are two very popular and very good manufacturers. Both of them are known for manufacturing a wide variety of different products, including air circulator fans. Today, we’re going to be looking at the Honeywell HT-900, and the Vornado 530.
Both of these air circulator fans are very well-made, and they both have their distinct features and capabilities. However, the purpose of this buying guide isn’t just to inform you of those features and capabilities, but also to give you a good idea of which one of these air circulator fans would be the best one for you.
We’re going to be looking at the features and capabilities of these air circulator fans, and what those individual features and capabilities mean for you, and how they will affect your experience using these air circulator fans.

We’re starting with the Honeywell HT-900. This is a very popular air circulator fan – in fact, it’s arguably one of the most popular air circulator fans on the market – and that’s because it is very well-made, while also being very inexpensive.
Unlike many air circulator fans, the Honeywell HT-900 is not big. At all. It’s a pretty small fan, and it’s designed for smaller spaces. When using the Honeywell HT-900, it’s best to put it on a small table, a chair, or on the floor. You can put it in other places, of course, but it tends to have the most success circulating air when it is sitting in those places, due to the airflow. You can also mount it on a wall with a great deal of ease, and depending on the space you are using it in, that may be the ideal choice.
When the HT-900 is running, it pivots back and forth, at ninety-degrees. This is to aid in air circulation, ensuring that there is greater airflow and that the air isn’t only going through a single pathway. You can adjust the speed of the fan, though, with the press of a button. There are three speed settings, and they’re all quite fast, so you won’t have any problems with weak air circulation or a lack of decent airflow.
Due to the design of the Honeywell HT-900, it can push the air back up to twenty-seven feet away. For a small fan such as this one, that’s pretty good. This is due to the design of the fan, which was done in a very careful and deliberate manner, by Honeywell, to provide the greatest amount of airflow.
In comparison to many of the other air circulator fans on the market, the Honeywell HT-900 is twenty-five percent quieter than those other air circulator fans. Now, this is according to Honeywell, but this is a very quiet air circulator fan, which makes the entire experience comfortable and easy. Most air circulator fans are quite noisy, so the Honeywell HT-900 does a great job at solving that particular problem.
Ultimately, if you want an air circulator fan that is cheap and inexpensive, while also being very powerful, then you can’t go wrong with the Honeywell HT-900!
Next up on the list is the Vornado 530. This air circulator fan has many similarities to the Honeywell HT-900, but there are also a couple of distinct differences that the Vornado 530 possesses, and these differences allow for a unique and pleasant air circulation experience.
Just like the Honeywell HT-900, the Vornado 530 is designed for smaller spaces, rather than large spaces. Spaces such as bedrooms, small dining rooms, and living rooms, among various others. If you intend to circulate air in a larger space, using the Vornado 530, you should probably buy two or three of these fans.
Vornado has designed something known as “Vortex Technology”, and Vortex Technology is a technology that has been used in all of the recent air circulator fans that Vornado has developed. With Vortex Technology, the air has a much easier time circulating in the space the fan is in. Using Vortex Technology, when the air flows through the fan, it is then blown in many directions, which makes the air circulation process significantly easier.
Part of this design also has to do with the blades that comprise the fan itself. These blades are deep pitched, and this allows them to push air back and forth, at a great distance. Using the Vornado 530, when the air is pushed back and forth, it is pushed up to sixty-five feet away. That’s a very long distance, for a fan such as this one. And because of this, you won’t have any issues circulating air in a smaller space, or even a slightly larger one, as long as it isn’t too big and open, because then the air may not be able to circulate as well.
Just as with the Honeywell HT-900, you have three different speed settings to choose from. Low, Medium, and High. These are very basic features, but all of these modes are very powerful. You can also tilt the fan in a variety of directions.
If we’re going to compare the Honeywell HT-900 and the Vornado 530, the Vornado 530 is the better air circulator fan, when it comes to the power that it offers. But, it is more expensive, and a bit bigger, as well. If those features aren’t a problem for you, though, then the Vornado 530 is probably the better choice, simply due to the power that it offers.
However, this doesn’t mean that the Honeywell HT-900 is a bad air circulator fan because it isn’t. Instead, the Honeywell HT-900 is a great air circulator fan that works very well in smaller spaces, and while it doesn’t offer a lot of power, it is not a weak fan, and it does provide quite a bit of power, especially for a smaller space. But, not as much as power as the Vornado 530.
